*This position and office will be based in Flandreau, South Dakota*

SUMMARY: The Administrative Assistant will assist the Executive Director to complete project objectives in accordance with funding guidance and department policies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Receives all applications for HAF Rehabilitation Assistance. Verifies with the applicant that all required documentation is attached to the application.
  • Prepares information flyers for the community and elders.
  • Prepares and mails correspondence.
  • Prepares ads for RFPs.
  • Creates a filing system for all homeowners and applicants.
  • Assists in screening applicants for eligibility.
  • Notifies approved applicants and coordinates the rehabilitation to the homeowner, housing, and contractor.
  • Tracks, files, and submits contractor bills for payments.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent or one year work experience prior to hiring. Must have a valid driver’s license.
