*This position and office will be based in Flandreau, South Dakota*
SUMMARY: The Tenant Services Coordinator is responsible for occupancy, tenant and resident services. Coordinate day-to-day tenant/resident services while emphasizing a positive response to tenant concerns.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Receives all applications for housing services. Verifies with the applicant that all required documentation is attached to the application.
- Maintains waiting lists for low rent and tribal units. Waiting lists will be updated as applications are complete.
- Consults with Executive Director on open units ready for occupancy and waiting list for tenant selection.
- Notifies elected tenants in writing on selection into a rental unit. Schedules background check for potential tenant.
- Prepares lease, calculates rent, reviews rules of occupancy and other tenant policies with tenant.
- Maintains tenant files, which include annual recertification process.
- Maintains tenant account ledgers which includes monthly payment and work order charges due to tenant damage.
- Send out delinquency notices in accordance with FSSHD Rent and Monthly Payment Collection Policy.
- Work with Tenants on repayment schedules for delinquent accounts.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent or one year work experience prior to hiring. Must have a valid driver’s license.
