Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable instructor to teach our Health Basics course which includes: Anatomy, Physiology, Kinesiology, Pathology, and Ethics. This role involves preparing and delivering engaging educational content while fostering a supportive and collaborative learning environment.
Schedule & Compensation
Hours: Mondays and Tuesdays 8:00 AM–12:00 PM
Pay: $25 per hour (paid monthly on the 1st)
Responsibilities
Instruction & Student Support:
Using our curriculum, develop and deliver lecture materials and instructional aids.
Facilitate learning using curriculum, life experiences and relatable examples.
Prepare assignments, tests, and grading rubrics using Canvas (our online learning platform).
Conduct midterm reviews and evaluations.
Offer additional assistance and tutoring when appropriate.
Professional Growth & Collaboration:
Use credible, evidence-based resources.
Collaborate with staff and contribute to a positive educational environment.
Commitment to ongoing learning, with CEUs in related fields like anatomy, physiology or teaching methodologies.
Other Duties:
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
Associate’s Degree or higher in Science, Biology, Massage Therapy, Nursing, or a related field.
Familiarity with how anatomy and physiology relate to massage techniques and applications.
Certifications in specialized areas such as Sports Medicine, Neurology, or Medical Massage that deepen the instructor’s expertise is helpful but not required.
Skills & Requirements:
Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
Proficient in instructional design and the use of technology.
Ability to pass a background check.
