Job Description
Transource Truck & Equipment is currently accepting applications for a mobile lube technician for our Sioux Falls location.
SUMMARY Will be working out at customer locations and/or our Sioux Falls location to conduct maintenance and address any customer concerns or questions regarding equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Inspect, maintain, and service heavy equipment;
- Order parts and keep Lube truck stocked with oils and filters;
- Prepare accurate inspection and service reports and maintain other records as required;
- Complete oil and filter services;
- Keep work areas clean and orderly;
- Work in a safe manner and comply with customers’ site specific policies;
- Comply with company policies and government regulations;
- Making recommendations for additional servicing based on initial vehicle inspections;
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Learns and updates multiple computer programs to maintain inventory tracking and communication.
Maintains professional appearance.
Must be able to fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.

- Physical Effort: Lube technicians are constantly on the move and in a fast-paced environment. They frequently are sitting and driving around the area for long periods of time and regularly have to bend, kneel, crawl, lay, and maneuver on/under machines to properly perform maintenance on machines. They must be capable of moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Must be able to walk over construction/agricultural sites with loose-footing and irregular terrain.
- Working Conditions: Lube Technicians deal with many different products that are hazardous. There are hazards from electrical, mechanical and power equipment; risk of exposure to chemicals such as steam cleaner soap, used oil, spent antifreeze, parts cleaning solvent, volatile hydrocarbons, battery acid, etc. Lube Technicians frequently have to work in adverse weather conditions as well. They also face risk of exposure to dust, dirt, mists, fumes, and non-continuous noises of varying sound levels and intensities. Most work will be performed outside and, in the field, rather than in the shop.
- Travel: Requires frequent daily driving to & from customer locations.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
• High School Diploma/GED; Minimum 1 year experience working on heavy equipment and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to outdoor weather conditions, cold and heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm $22.00 - $26.00 an hour DOE
