Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance on county roads, including grading, patching, snow removal, culvert replacements, and bridge repair.
• Operate heavy equipment such as trucks, loaders, graders, excavators, and backhoes.
• Assist with road construction projects as needed
• Inspect roads for damage and safety hazards, and make necessary repairs
• Assist with traffic control during road closures or maintenance activities
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in road maintenance or construction is preferred
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Class A Commercial Driver's License or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment
• Ability to operate heavy equipment and power tools
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
