TranSource Truck & Equipment, Inc. is a growing full-service truck and equipment dealership with 3 locations in SD. We are seeking a dynamic Human Resources Manager to lead us forward in the areas of human capital and provide great support to our employees while driving HR functional excellence and process improvements.
This is both a strategic and hands-on role with responsibilities that include development of HR policies and guidelines, payroll, safety, OSHA compliance and reporting, legal compliance in all areas of employment reporting, and keeping leadership abreast of developments in HR policy.
Desired Skills and Background
HR and Payroll Expertise
- Proficiency in HR and/or Payroll systems and Microsoft Office products.
- Strong payroll knowledge, ensuring compliance with tax laws, wage, and hour regulations.
- Experience in full-cycle payroll processing and managing payroll-related compliance.
- Oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Prepare and maintain reports related to employee relations, leave management, benefits, and payroll, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Stay up to date on federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations to ensure company policies and practices remain compliant.
Employee Benefits Administration
- Oversee the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, and other employee benefit offerings.
- Strong experience with administering employee benefits programs and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
Employee Relations and Workplace Culture
- Ensure a fair and consistent approach to employee relations, promoting a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Build strong relationships with employees and managers, fostering a collaborative and supportive HR function.
- Familiarity with managing employee leave programs (e.g., FMLA, sick leave, personal leave).

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word, and HRIS systems.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in HR roles that demonstrate increasing responsibility and the ability to think strategically and engage with senior leaders.
- SHRM-CP certification preferred.
