Job Description
  • A Brief Overview

    Accountable for performing a variety of general, mechanical, and preventative maintenance duties as well as inspections, servicing, repair, and overhaul of equipment and facilities of the hospital.

    What you will do

    • Demonstrates ability to comprehend and repair all hospital refrigeration systems (water chillers, commercial and residential air conditioning, ice machines, etc.), pneumatic controls, electrical circuit diagrams, direct digital controls, and microprocessor controls.
    • Demonstrates ability to service all ventilation systems and the operation of these systems.
    • Demonstrates the ability to maintain current knowledge of HVAC/R and heating & chilled water systems.
    • Demonstrates the ability to maintain appropriate records as they relate to programs such as PM system, HVAC/R logbook, refrigerant management, etc.
    • Demonstrates ability to comprehend, test, and maintain indoor air quality.
    • Demonstrates the ability to work with and repair the following systems as needed: Deaerator, Softener, Reverse Osmosis, Heat Recovery, etc.
    • Demonstrates ability to troubleshoot and repair steam, water, and air flow systems problems.
    • Demonstrates ability to maintain boiler and cooling tower operations and chemical treatment programs.
    • Demonstrates the ability to monitor and repair hospital boilers and systems.

    Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:

    • Drivers License - Licensing Board Upon Hire
    • Refrigerant Certification - ESCO Institute Upon Hire
    • six months to one year related experience or training.

    Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:

    • Associate's

    Minimum Age Requirements
    This position requires you to be 18 years of age or older.

  • Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm

    Every 5th weekend/holiday 80 hour 2 week
