**Starting pay rate of $17.00/hour**

Department: Axis 180

Job Status: Full Time, Part Time, Relief

Reports To: Youth Services Coordinator

Job Type: Regular

Position Supervises:  None

Work Schedule: Varies; day, evening, late night, rotating holidays

POSITION SUMMARY

Provide coaching, mentoring, direction, life skills groups and support to Axis 180 youth, particularly in evidenced based techniques.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS STATEMENT(S)

Participant Services

A. Provide participants with guidance and direction to assist them in achieving their Transition Plan goals.

B. Plan and assist in the supervision of client activities.

C. Ensure the provision of services and activities that promote positive choices and healthy lifestyles.

D. Communicate and interact with referral sources of clients when appropriate.

E. Ensure critical data is reported and documented, including incident and injury reports.

F. Plan and support transportation of clients as necessary.

G. Facilitate Life Skills Training's in individual and group settings as needed.

Support Services

A. Maintain consistent communication regarding the progress of each youth with other staff.

B. Document services, activities and necessary program information.

C. Attend program staff meetings.

D. Attend all trainings required by agency and program standards.

E. Perform job responsibilities professionally, consistent with the agencies code of ethics.

Implementation of Therapeutic & Preventative Skills

A. Set limits utilizing positive reinforcement to strengthen/promote positive behaviors and discourage problem behaviors.

B. Encourage positive behaviors of youth by utilizing effective praise.

C. Assist residents to resolve conflicts, plan ahead, and make decisions.

Facility

A. Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in facility.

B. Maintain safe working conditions.

C. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and fire codes.

D. Report any facility maintenance needs to Youth Services Coordinator or Director.

E. Clean empty apartments and stock them with home necessities.

Other

A. Carryout other duties as requested to program modification or expansion.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Experience: No experience needed, training will be provided.

Skills: Effective communication and problem solving skills are necessary. Calm demeanor and ability to de-escalate situations. Be a positive role model.

Certifications & Licenses: Must possess valid driver's license.

Other Requirements: All candidates must be at least 21 years of age.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

A.  Ability to stand, walk, sit, manually manipulate, reach outward and above shoulders, speak, climb, crawl, squat, kneel, and bend on a daily basis.

B.  Capability to lift, carry, push or pull up to 100lbs on a daily basis.
