G&H is an area industry leader in supplying warehouse storage and operations equipment, 1 of 11 Certified Hose Assemblers in the United States designated to supply the area’s Original Equipment Manufacturers with hydraulic parts, and it’s one of the most established stocking distributor’s of replacement auger flighting in North America.

Hours:

Scheduled 40hrs per week
Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00 pm

Compensation:
$24+/hr DOE
Annual Sales Bonus Eligibility

Job Summary: Assist the sales manager to increase company sales by providing superior customer service, processing customer orders, exhibiting extensive product knowledge, and supporting ongoing sales objectives.

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

To be eligible for the position, candidate must:

  • Have a minimum of an Associate degree in a related field; or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or 2 years or more sales or customer service experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Be able to accurately read print writing
  • Be able to apply math principles and concepts including: measurements, percentages, fractions, etc.
  • Have the ability to use common hand tools, handle small parts, and operate assembly machines
  • Be able to navigate and troubleshoot the Internet skillfully
  • Be able to operate Windows based computer programs successfully

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Providing customer support by answering incoming sales and customer service phone calls, assisting walk-in customers with counter and will-call orders, and answering general product questions.
  • Quoting and communicating prices, credit terms, and other product bid information to prospective and existing customers.
  • Entering and processing data for customer orders, special vendor orders, and quotes into the computer system for processing.
  • Exhibiting extensive product knowledge and expertise by emphasizing product features based on the analyses of customers’ needs and on technical knowledge of product capabilities, functionalities and limitations.
  • Setting up new customer accounts and maintaining existing customer records and accounts using the company’s computer software.
  • Contacting product vendors to place orders, for pricing and availability, freight quotes, shipping dates, and lead times upon customer inquiry.
  • Negotiating customer prices, terms of sale, and service agreements.
  • Establishing and maintaining interpersonal working relationships with customers, venders, and co-workers.
  • Documenting, preparing, and developing customer records on product demand forecasts, product usage and implementation, and customer specific pricing.
  • Assembling products, picking customer orders, and preparing orders for shipment or pick up.
  • Helping keep an accurate product inventory by maintaining showroom displays, putting away warehouse inventory, and periodically taking a physical inventory.
  • Using computer programs such as Microsoft Office’s Excel, Word, and Outlook, company’s inventory tracking software, and the Internet.
  • Assisting in the production and processing of products by knowing the raw materials, general production processes, and quality controls to maximize the quality and distribution of the company’s products.
