Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled IT Specialist to manage and maintain our organization's technology infrastructure. This role requires expertise in system and software management, cybersecurity, hardware troubleshooting, computer setup, and user support. The ideal candidate will also oversee email management, report creation, NetSuite build-out, VoIP phone systems, internet/server connectivity, and user account administration.
Key Responsibilities
1. System & Software Management
- Oversee installation, updates, and maintenance of business software and operating systems.
- Manage user licenses, permissions, and configurations for business-critical applications.
- Support the build-out and customization of NetSuite to improve workflow efficiency.
2. Cybersecurity & Data Protection
- Implement and maintain security protocols, firewalls, and antivirus protection.
- Monitor for security threats, vulnerabilities, and unauthorized access.
- Conduct regular system audits and compliance checks to ensure data integrity.
3. Hardware Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Diagnose and repair computer hardware, network devices, and peripheral equipment.
- Set up and configure new computers, laptops, and workstations for employees.
- Ensure all hardware is properly maintained and replaced as needed.
4. Email & Communication Management
- Manage company-wide email systems, user accounts, and distribution groups.
- Troubleshoot email deliverability issues and security concerns.
- Ensure compliance with email security best practices.
5. VoIP & Phone System Management
- Administer and support VoIP phone systems, ensuring uptime and functionality.
- Configure phone lines, call routing, and voicemail settings.
- Troubleshoot call quality, connectivity, and integration issues.
6. Network, Server & Internet Connectivity
- Monitor and maintain network stability, internet connections, and server uptime.
- Troubleshoot connectivity issues, server failures, and system outages.
- Work with ISPs and vendors to resolve internet and network problems.
7. User Management & IT Support
- Create, manage, and remove user accounts, passwords, and access permissions.
- Provide technical support to employees for software, hardware, and system issues.
- Train staff on IT best practices, cybersecurity awareness, and software use.
8. Reporting & Data Analysis
- Develop and generate custom IT reports for system performance and security audits.
- Assist in data migration, backup strategies, and system documentation.
Qualifications & Skills
? Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (preferred)
- 3+ years of IT support, system administration, or cybersecurity experience
- Experience with NetSuite, VoIP systems, and network administration is a plus
? Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Windows, macOS, and cloud-based applications
- Knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, and network security protocols
- Familiarity with VoIP phone systems and internet troubleshooting
- Experience with email server management (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, etc.)
