What do we do? We provide Agricultural, Industrial, Commercial and Solar electrical services in and around the Brookings area, MN and ND. New dairy projects and maintenance are our specialty ranging in location from Summit to Sioux Falls.

Hours for the position are 7am to 5:30pm Monday – Thursday with regular scheduled overtime on Fridays.
Some Evenings and Saturdays will be required. Scheduled to be on call 1 weekend a month.
Responsibilities:
Work involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, and electrical/electronic components. The National Electrical Code and all other applicable standards and specifications are followed.
Plan and execute work responsibilities for yourself and other electricians using strategy, organization and problem solving
Work with the Electrical Contractor to analyze electrical system needs, capacity, cost and requirements for jobs
Install and connect power supply wiring to and between machines and equipment by following manuals, schematics, and blueprints
Test malfunctioning equipment and repair or replace faulty wires, cables, or electronic components
Troubleshoot and Repair electric motors
Demonstrate safe work habits, comply with company safety requirements
Measure, cut and bend conduit, using a tape measure and hand tools
Pull electrical wire and cable in conduit using manual and power equipment
Move/handle various equipment and spools of wire
Install and bend conduit using manual, mechanical and hydraulic benders
Proper care for material, tools and equipment
Assist electricians by performing various tasks
Operates power tools such as drills, saws, pullers, tuggers, etc
Install and maintain secondary distribution systems
Install and maintain distribution boxes, switch gear, power and control circuits, etc.
Job Requirements
Licensed Journeyman in the state of SD. Able to become licensed in MN and ND. Current on continued education requirements.
3-5 years’ experience as a Journeyman OR an EET degree with electrical experience.
Experience troubleshooting – Service work and new construction
Need to excel in logic, analytical thinking, mathematics and visualization.
Have a deep understanding of electrical principles, circuits, and various components. Understands accurate material ordering and planning ahead for work.
Work in varying weather climates and job location environments
Teach, train, and guide electrical apprentices.
Valid Driver’s license, able to drive skid loaders and operate lifts, CDL preferred. You will be driving to worksites (paid at least one way) – Some days more driving than others. Company vehicle provided.
Physical requirements:
Lift and carry heavy objects (up to and including 75lbs)
Climb ladders, crawling, stooping, bending, kneeling, sitting, reaching, pushing and pulling objects.
Repetitive use of arms, hands and fingers
Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment
Work at elevated heights on ladders and/or scaffolds
