POSITION SUMMARY
As a Kitting/Material Handler, you will be vital to the success of, and support of the operations, through professionally and efficiently working with the Kitting/Materials leads and Supervisors to support production. Critical communication and problem resolution skills are essential in the day-to-day activities of the Kitting/Material Specialist. You will be responsible for printing pick sheets, picking parts, scanning parts to location, managing inventory through cycle counts, and expediting, as necessary, the flow of products, components, and information to production to optimize operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Manage and maintain timely product flow from the warehouse through to the production line, to support production indexing. A critical aspect will be to accept no defect and pass no defect, through material cart audits and effective hand-offs from the warehouse to the production team.
- Document and work-to-completion any/all shortages that occur for the value stream, regardless of kitting, non-conforming, mis-placed, stock vs VMI, etc.
- Manage and maintain all product availability in line side and kanban inventory storage locations to support the value stream.
- Contribute to a team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Support/Maintain effective and safe product storage practices.
- Maintain consistent daily housekeeping of all areas of responsibility.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the organization and our members.

K | Knowledge, Education, and/or Experience: - High school diploma/GED required.
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain one.
- 1 year experience in kitting/materials department or a manufacturing environment.

- Ability to write routine reports, correspondence and to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
- Able to work in an ERP/MRP environment and perform associated transactions.
- Ability to perform simple tasks, such as typing a letter and using basic commands such as setting tabs, opening, and closing files, simple formulas.
- Prior experience with a computer terminal and/or PC.
