Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team at St. Francis Indian School AKA Sicangu Oyate Ho Inc. in St. Francis, SD as a Lakota Language Paraprofessional. As a Lakota Language Paraprofessional, you will play a crucial role in promoting and preserving the Lakota language and culture within our school community.

As a Lakota Language Paraprofessional, you will work closely with our language teachers to support students in learning and developing fluency in the Lakota language. You will assist in creating engaging lesson plans, providing one-on-one support to students, and organizing cultural activities that celebrate the rich heritage of the Lakota people.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a deep understanding and appreciation for the Lakota language and culture. You should be fluent in Lakota and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. Previous experience working with students in an educational setting is preferred, but not required.
