Location: Tea, SD (right off I-29)
Work Hours: 7:00am to 4:30pm Monday – Friday (40hrs + 5hrs overtime per week)
Position Summary:
The Fabrication / Material Handler will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient production of metal products. Primary focus will be on parts production and preparing products for welding.
Responsibilities:
- Part preparation - cutting, grinding, drilling
- Operate metal fabrication machines and other equipment - Laser Cutter, Brake Press, Bender, etc
- Assist in maintenance and cleaning of fabrication equipment to ensure optimal fuctionality and prevent downtown.
- Material Handling - operate forklift safely bringing parts to welders or unloading and loading trucks.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in the manufacturing industry is desired.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying materials.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
Required Skills:
- Strong attention to detail with ability to focus on a given task.
- Enthusiastic about learning new skills and technology.
- Effective time-management tactical approach to work prioritization.
- Commitment to continued development through the DeGeest Strong Standard Program.
- Read, speak, and write the English language.
- Good communication skills.

Note: The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. This position is eligible for a bonus.
