LEADMAN
JOB SUMMARY
L.G. Everist, Inc., founded in 1876, produces and supplies sand, gravel, and quarried stone throughout the Midwest region of the United States. We are looking for a Leadman to assist with production at our Dell Rapids East Quarry. The Leadman is responsible for all primary or plant-related maintenance duties, training, safely performing procedures at the site, and other duties as assigned.
LOCATION
Dell Rapids, SD
EDUCATION
· High School diploma or GED
· Valid Driver's license required
· Knowledge of MSHA rules
DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES
· Coordinate work assignments, job priorities, and job planning with the Working Plant Foreman / Plant Supervisor on projects being preformed
· Train employees on safety and work skills
· Will be trained to operate all plant equipment in designated work area
· Organize jobs including parts, materials, equipment, etc.
· Provide employee reminders regarding safety and work rules and inform the supervisor of repeated violations
· Perform maintenance scheduling, and ensure preventative maintenance is performed on schedule
· Ensure plant is operational for next production shift
· Perform maintenance after daily production run or when scheduled
· Perform daily preventative maintenance
SKILLS & ABILITIES
· Ability to train and instruct others
· Layout/assist work priorities with work force/crew
· Perform/assist with maintenance
· Records all services and inspection results
· Torch and welding skills required
· Ensure preventative maintenance is performed on schedule
SCHEDULE
Monday through Friday with some Saturdays
