Come join our team at Southeastern Directions for Life as a Licensed Medical Assistant in Sioux Falls, SD!

As a Licensed Medical Assistant at Southeastern Directions for Life, you will have the opportunity to provide compassionate care to individuals seeking mental health and addiction services. You will work closely with our team of dedicated healthcare professionals to ensure that each patient receives the highest quality of care in a safe and welcoming environment. This position is M-F 8am to 5pm. No nights or weekends!

Responsibilities:

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and treatments.
• Administer medications as directed by the provider.
• Perform routine clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, collecting specimens, and conducting basic laboratory tests.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for each patient.
• Educate patients about their treatment plans and medications.
• Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care for patients.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Completion of a Medical Assistant program and current certification as a Licensed Medical Assistant.
• Prior experience working in a healthcare setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
