Job Description

Division: Midwest
Reports to: VP of Aggregates
Effective Date: 1/31/2025

Job Summary:
The Maintenance Coordination Manager is responsible for the maintenance and repair of Midwest Division’s mobile and stationary aggregates processing equipment. This includes, but is not limited to, heavy mobile construction equipment (wheel loaders, haul trucks, excavators, etc.) and major components of aggregate processing equipment (crushers, wash plants, etc.). Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the maintenance and repair of aggregate wash plants and crushing equipment.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Direct reports include up to 6 mechanics, up to 1 administrative assistants and up to 3 shop managers.

Locations:
• All quarries and pits in the Midwest division (SD, IA, MN)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Acts as a champion of safety. Follow and implement Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) rules, along with company, local, state, and federal safety/environmental regulations.
• Work with suppliers and management to recommend equipment/processes to improve existing operations and meet new business opportunities.
• Effective management of the shops in various locations in the Midwest
• Ability to work with the Shop Managers to ensure the work effectively meets company/project goals and deadlines.
• Establish maintenance repair and replacement standards to meet OEM specifications.
• Work with operations and maintenance personnel to reduce equipment/process downtime and improve reliability.
• Develop and continuously improve predictive and preventive maintenance practices.
• Coordinate between shops and vendors to determine what the appropriate location should be for the associated repair.

• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Education and Experience:
• 5 years experience in maintenance supervision in the aggregates industry preferred.

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to occasionally perform physical work, including lifting to fifty pounds, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, and grasping.
• May occasionally be exposed to extreme weather conditions as well as exposure to dust, sand, gravel, diesel exhaust, etc.
