Role
The Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning and communicating all maintenance needs and activities throughout the company’s multiple facilities. This position will also be responsible for inventory control and purchasing for the maintenance department; using predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
· Plan and schedule corrective and preventive maintenance activities by task and priority level
· Manage spare parts and alignment between the maintenance department and stockroom
· Manage work orders, documentation, and assets within eMaintenance
· Coordinate and communicate any plant-wide facility maintenance updates
· Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
· Ensure all maintenance duties comply with safety regulations and industry standards
· Ensure that facilities, structures and equipment comply with food safety and meet regulatory requirements
· Train employees on how to use eMaintenance
· Primary point-of-contact for maintenance scheduling with internal and external personnel
Education & Training Requirements
· High school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience
· Knowledge of the manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery. This is normally acquired through three to five years of manufacturing experience
· Demonstrate full knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices policies and procedures
· Demonstrate knowledge of safe practices in a manufacturing environment
Work Experience Requirements
· 4+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience / knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial equipment
· An AA / AS degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial technology maintenance preferred
· Experience with any CMMS software required, eMaintenance a plus
Physical Demands and Work Environment
· Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers
· Ability to stand, reach, lift, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull lift up to 75 pounds
· Exposure to fumes or airborne particles from moving mechanical parts and vibrations
· Exposure to variation in temperature
