Job : Maintenance Technician
Classification : Non-exempt
Schedule: Full-time. 10-hour days, Monday- Thursday. Overtimed as assigned.
Job Summary: This position will provide regular upkeep of the facilities, equipment, and tools at B & G Industries, Inc., keeping the production team up and running.
Responsibilities: Completes all daily maintenance tasks in the maintenance schedule. Ensures all periodic maintenance tasks are up to date. Update items in the maintenance schedule as they are completed. Check maintenance request board and respond to new requests in a timely matter. Keep an inventory of maintenance supplies and perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred: 2+ years in a maintenance role. Experience doing maintenance in a manufacturing environment. Ability to run light machinery such as forklift and scissor lift. Plumbing, electrical, and /or carpentry knowledge is desirable.
Willing to train the right candidate.
Physical requirements: Prolonged periods of standing and walking. Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, crawl into tight spaces. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
