Key Responsibilities

Marketing & Communications Strategy

  • Develop and execute an annual marketing plan aligned with organizational goals.
  • Oversee paid advertising campaigns across radio, TV, social media, digital platforms, and billboards to enhance brand awareness and program visibility.
  • Create and implement an annual communications plan for organic and owned messaging, including:
    • Annual reports, newsletters, brochures, press releases, forms, flyers, invitations, building signage, and business cards.
  • Assist in developing agency-wide marketing and communication policies and procedures.
  • Ensure brand consistency by establishing and enforcing LSS brand standards (logo usage, color schemes, typography, and print materials).

Content Development & Digital Media

  • Research, write, and produce digital, social, and print marketing materials for campaigns and outreach.
  • Manage LSS’s website content updates to ensure accuracy, relevance, and engagement.
  • Develop and execute a social media strategy, including content planning and analytics review.
  • Lead the creation of newsletters, blogs, and impact stories to engage donors and stakeholders.
  • Oversee the production of videos, infographics, and promotional materials to enhance storytelling efforts.

Fundraising & Community Engagement

  • Develop and distribute fundraising appeals (direct mail, digital, and event materials) in coordination with the philanthropy team.
  • Collaborate with fundraising staff to create compelling donor campaigns and sponsorship outreach materials.
  • Assist in developing marketing strategies for fundraising events and initiatives.

Brand & Internal Communications

  • Coordinate with LSS staff on external building signage and internal directional displays to ensure brand consistency.
  • Work closely with the Director of Culture & Quality Improvement to align internal and external communication strategies.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of four years of related experience in marketing, communications, or a similar field.
  • Supervisory and management experience required.
  • Experience in budget development, monitoring, and achievement preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet agency auto insurance requirements.
  • Willingness to submit to a criminal background check to screen for offenses related to violence, child safety, sex crimes, or spousal abuse.
