Job Description

Summary:

Perform a wide range of duties and multiple tasks, including preparing parts and finished tanks for shipping, moving tanks with forklift, overhead crane, or boom crane. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Prepare finished tanks for shipment

  • Operate forklift, overhead crane, or boom crane to move tanks and parts

  • Measure and weigh packages in preparation for bill of lading, invoicing

  • Operate 25-ton boom crane moving and loading large tanks.

  • Clean and buff product before packaging

  • Package product using pallets, cardboard, banding straps and shrink wrap

  • Fabricate and assemble products

  • Erect ladders, prepare surfaces for spraying by masking areas and clearing spray area along with covering nearby equipment

  • Spray foam insulation on the walls of fiberglass tanks

  • Check density/thickness on sprayed surfaces

  • Inspect goods for quality issues

  • Conduct final visual inspection of product for our customers

  • Identify and correct quality defects

  • Mold or build simple components

  • Record production work records

  • Check completed projects for conformance to specifications and for quality

  • Record and report defects

  • Maintain clean products and work area

  • Practice safe work habits and maintain safe work environment

  • Transfer products, objects, or parts to specified work areas

  • Pull parts and prep molds

  • Assist more senior workers in set up, operation, and maintenance of equipment

  • Assist others as needed

  • Perform other duties as requested by supervisor

 

Qualifications:

  • Previous forklift and/or crane experience
  • Willingness to learn and receive on the job training.
  • Work alone with minimal direction or as part of a team.

  • Basic math skills preferred.

  • Safe working record

  • Good attendance record

  • Ability to directly or indirectly communicate verbally required.

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
  • Previous production experience helpful.

Physical Demands:      

  • Lift up to 20 pounds overhead.
  • Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Stand on concrete floor up to 10 hours per day.
  • Wear personal protective equipment.
  • Demonstrate adequate dexterity and stamina.
  • Subject to periodic drug screening.
