Job Description
We are seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to provide patient care under licensed providers' direction, administering tests and performing procedures such as blood draws, TB skin tests, and vaccinations according to certifications. In addition to caring for our WorkForce patients, this role handles administrative tasks, assists with training, and participates in quality improvement processes. The Medical Assistant role excels in various areas including the ability to perform effectively in emergencies, critical thinking skills, knowledge of infection control policies, proficiency in electronic medical records [EMR], a customer service-oriented approach, effective communication, strong interpersonal skills, and excellent organizational abilities.
Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM. NO NIGHTS. NO WEEKENDS. NO HOLIDAYS.
- Four 10-Hour Shifts or
- Five 8-Hour Shifts
This position is located at 7600 South Minnesota Ave, Sioux Falls, SD.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
- Licensed in the State of South Dakota, or able to obtain upon hire.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; can be obtained upon hire.
- National Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant [CMA] preferred.
