Dakota Psychological Services LLC, established in 2004, is a well-respected forensic mental health private practice located in Sioux Falls, SD. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced counselor to join our dynamic team and help us continue delivering top-quality mental health services. This job is located in Sioux Falls, SD., with the possibility of some telehealth sessions.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counseling to adult male/female clients under supervision by the Department of Corrections or Probation.
- Maintain accurate and ethical client records, adhering to all legal and professional standards.
- Participate in weekly case staffing.
- Stay informed on current research and best practices in mental health counseling through ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:
- A master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Licensure as a counselor (LPC, LMHC, LCSW, or equivalent) in the state of South Dakota.
- Strong clinical skills with knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to build rapport with clients and collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to confidentiality and adherence to professional ethics and standards.
- Flexibility and adaptability in managing challenges or changes in the work environment.
- Experience working with adults or juveniles in the criminal justice system is a bonus but not required.
