Job Requirements
Job Summary:
Under minimal supervision, the Network Administrator will be responsible for maintaining and administering IT infrastructure including network switches, servers, workstations and peripherals.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Analyzing and figuring out the system needs of an organization
• Installing hardware and software for the network
• Keeping systems operating efficiently by performing any necessary upgrades and repairs
• Planning a strategy to maintain system security on the computers and the network as a whole
• Optimizing and evaluating the system regularly
• Assigning and updating security permissions for the system network
• Training or directing users on the correct use of software and hardware within the system
• Performing problem-solving tasks when alerted by a user or monitoring system
• Provide end-user support, resolving technical issues and provides technical assistance for all operating system
• Set up new hires with equipment and appropriate access to the company’s system
• Maintenance of the business software applications
• Implements, installs, configures, monitors, trouble shoots and evaluates existing and new operating systems
• Confers with database programmers, analysts or other system administrators

• Familiar with networking fundamentals and concepts
• Familiar with security best practices
• Scripting a plus
• Mac O/S a plus
Education and Experience:
• Bachelors or Associates degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (preferred)
• 3+ years of applicable experience
Physical Requirements:
• Regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms.
• Regularly communicate in some manner either by speech/ hearing or through written communication.
• Frequently required to stand, walk and sit.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Occasionally climb and balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
