Job Title:  Nurse Manager

Location: Bethany Lutheran Home Sioux Falls 

Employment Shift: 8am-4:30pm; variable based on hours needed for the week

Job Type: Full Time including rotating on call shifts.

Salary: Starting range of $75,000 - $85,000 salary for RNs.

Job Description:

Are you an experienced RN or LPN with a passion for providing top-notch care to older adults? Bethany Lutheran is seeking a dedicated Nurse Manager to join our team in Sioux Falls, SD. As a Nurse Manager, you will play a crucial role in coordinating resident-specific clinical and support services, ensuring the highest standards of care are met.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the DON in the supervision of neighborhood employees while ensuring adequate staffing.
  • Assure orientation, training, and continuing education of all Neighborhood employees. Promotes and demonstrates individual and team growth, quality outcomes, compliance with regulation and adherence to Bethany Home policies and procedures.
  • Assist the DON in conducting regular performance appraisals with neighborhood employees.
  • Establish and maintain open and effective communication with residents, families, employees, physicians, referral sources, supervisor, and other members of the management team.
  • Assess residents' functional status as well as their social, psychological, and spiritual needs on an ongoing basis, especially prior to move-in and after hospital stays. Ensure that care plans are completed, and that services and support are arranged to meet residents’ needs. If necessary, refer residents to community-based services and medical services.
  • Implement approaches and services to maintain or enhance resident independence.
  • Supervise Nursing Staff: Oversee and lead the nursing team, providing guidance and support to ensure adequate staffing levels.
  • Facilitate training and continuing education for all employees, promoting individual and team growth.
  • Establish and maintain open communication with residents, families, employees, physicians, and other members of the management team.
  • Assessment and Care Planning: Assess residents' functional status, addressing social, psychological, and spiritual needs. Develop and update care plans to meet resident changes and choices.
  • Implement and oversee clinical policies and procedures to ensure safe, sanitary, and efficient practices.

 

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license in South Dakota.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory role in a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent communication
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Knowledge of nursing home regulations and compliance.
