Avera is seeking a strategic, communicative and compassionate Outpatient Therapist.

Job Summary
- Responsibilities are to assist in coordinating, planning, implementing and facilitating programs and counseling services on an outpatient basis.
- The outpatient therapist’s responsibilities may include several of the following areas: individual, group and family counseling, crisis services/evaluation, tele-therapy services, and current and future groups/programs.
- All of these areas may involve providing assessments, facilitating treatment and crisis intervention of clientele affected by mental health or dual diagnoses issues.
- Providing community/education services will be a part of this position and some travel is occasionally required.
Education and/or Experience
- Master’s degree is required.
- Three years related experience and/or training is preferred.
- Preferred candidates will have clinical experience facilitating group therapy sessions and providing individuals counseling services.
- Experience working with clients having dual diagnoses issues (addictive disorders in conjunction with mental health conditions).
- Clinical experience with couples and/or family therapy is preferred.
Certification, Licensure, Registration
- South Dakota Professional License required; which includes one of the following:
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker-LCSW or
- Licensed Professional Counselor
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Supervisee required.
- Qualified Mental Health Provider (QMHP) required within 30 days of employment.
Work Schedule
- Monday - Friday; 80 hours every 2 weeks

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
