Primary Function:
Under the direction of the Paint Department Supervisor/Team Lead perform a variety of tasks related to the painting and finishing details in the production process per specifications and in accordance with the production schedule. This position will be required to perform other duties outside of the paint department.
Position Responsibilities:
Maintain a safe work environment
Details are dependent on duties assigned, in general consist of the following:
- Prepare surfaces of parts and equipment to be painted using brushes, scrapers, solvents, air grinders/sanders, etc.
- Pay apply tape over parts and areas that are not to be coated.
- May mix and prepare paint material for use.
- Fills cavities and dents with putty to attain smooth surface when needed.
- Transport of production components to proper location and set up parts and equipment to be painted.
- May perform sandblasting duties as required.
- Utilization of tank flushing equipment and station.
- Operation of the Hagger Press to complete production components.
- Completion of work orders and transfer of tickets as necessary.
- Additional paint and fabrication assistance, as assigned.
- Assist in the control of inventory.
- Works under the general supervision of the Paint Department; instructions provided on new work and irregularities.
- May perform maintenance and cleaning in work area and with other miscellaneous duties inherent to the job.
- Other duties to be assigned based on qualifications and previous experience.

Qualifications:
Vocational or high school education or equivalent is preferred. Seek out productive work when assignments are completed. Actively participate in continuous improvement of our products and processes to better serve our customers and improve the overall profitability.
Equipment: Paint/spray guns, Safety shoes, Safety glasses/goggles, Gloves, Respiratory, other PPE as needed
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, Physically demanding, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Hand-eye coordination, Standing for extended periods, Lifting multiple pounds regularly
