POSITION SUMMARY
The Panel Installer is responsible for the installation of levers, panel doors, and other various parts to complete the panel on the fire apparatus. They will read and understand specs and blueprints to build fire apparatus. Also, they will utilize a variety of basic hand tools to complete the installation of panel parts to the fire apparatus.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Responsible for the installation of levers, panel doors and other various parts to complete the panel on the fire apparatus.
- Reads and understands specs and blueprints to build fire apparatus.
- Uses a variety of basic hand tools to complete the installation of panel parts to the fire apparatus.
- Coordinates with panel design to ensure it is built correctly before the install begins.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the organization and our members.
Tools to be utilized:
Hand tools, power tools, grinders, cut off wheels, and tape measure.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA’s): The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
K | Knowledge, Education, and/or Experience: - High school diploma/GED.
- Strong mechanical and technical ability required.
- Manufacturing experience preferred.

S | Skills: Language: - Able to read and work from blueprints/spec books.
- Able to read and understand a tape measure accurately.
- Able to follow written and verbal directions.
Math: - Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
Computer: - Able to perform simple computer tasks to obtain information/changes related to the build process and/or troubleshoot.
