JOB SUMMARY
Perform tree removal, planting, and tree maintenance on city right-of-way and in the city park system. Assist with the enforcement of nuisance vegetation ordinances.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from high school or GED certification with five (5) years’ experience or training in tree planting, trimming, care and removal, horticultural or landscape planning, and design; or any such combination of education, experience, and training as may be acceptable to the hiring authority.
Within six months of appointment to this position, must be licensed by the State of South Dakota Department of Agriculture as a licensed public operator for the application/spraying of pesticides and insecticides.
Must possess or be able to obtain within 90 days of hire a valid Class A commercial driver’s license.
