Availability Monday-Friday 5AM-5PM
Part time would be approximately 20-25 hours a week.
Pay starts at $18/hour, will need to obtain your CDL license.
Transit Bus Drivers actively participate in safe driving techniques and customer service skills. You will maintain buses and vans by conducting thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections when using the vehicle. The essential physical activities for a driver position involves the following: balancing, pulling, pushing, standing, steeping, couching, kneeling, sitting, and operating a bus. An individual in this position will be required to list and carry weight ranging from 0 to 50 lbs.
Driver will be required to obtain a SD CDL with passenger endorsement within 60 days from the date of hire. Southeast Public Transit offers paid training to obtain the Class C CDL. Southeast Public Transit fully adheres to FTA Drug and Alcohol Testing Regulations and strictly enforces a drug free workplace including restrictions on some over-the-counter medications.
