Position Summary:
The Parts Runner/Material Handler is responsible for providing high quality service and support for our Service Department and our Sioux Falls Shop/Warehouse. This position will assist with deliveries, returns, labor, and other duties as assigned.
Primarily reports to the Service Manager but will also work closely with the Warehouse Manager as needed.
Essential Job Functions
Receiving materials from distributors in our location or at their warehouses and subsequent delivery of orders and/or tools to field personnel Filling orders from the warehouse/distributors maintaining a high level of accuracy. Check in and review all unused returns and place back in inventory. Clean materials, if necessary, prior to setting up returns to go back to vendors and wholesale providers. Prepare returns for shipping back to suppliers or delivering when necessary Help to maintain cleanliness in the shop area. Help manage inventory levels for materials Other field/shop duties as assigned Ability to haul a trailer safely and proficiently Ability to drive a manual transmission Performing all tasks safely
Minimum Job Requirements:
Good time management and organizational skills Strong communication skills with the ability to multi-task. Must have or can obtain DOT Health Card. The ability to make decisions independently. High school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Some knowledge of plumbing fittings is preferred but not necessary Must have or be able to obtain valid forklift certification and operate equipment in a safe, efficient manner. (will train the right candidate) Must be able to lift 80 lbs independently and team lift heavy materials on and around job sites Basic computer skills and ability to learn new programs and apps efficiently Must pass pre-employment drug screening Clean driving record Regular hours will be from 8am-4:30pm some overtime may be available/required at times Reliable transportation to get to the Midwestern Mechanical shop Ability to bend, lift, twist consistently throughout the day
