Job Description
Our medical practice is seeking a Patient Service Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for greeting patients, checking them in, verifying demographics / insurance and collecting co-pays. The Patient Access Representative will be the first point of contact for our patients and must provide excellent customer service. This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients as they arrive and check them in for their appointments
- Collect co-pays and verify insurance information
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or staff member
- Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar
- Maintain patient records and update information as necessary
- Ensure the waiting area is clean and organized
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a medical office or customer service role preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in basic computer skills and knowledge of electronic medical records
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
