YOUR ROLE

  • This individual is a key contributor to the site management team for proactively building a site culture of teamwork, accountability, and communication.
  • Drives a world class culture of Safety, 5S, execution, employee engagement and lean leadership.
  • Direct personnel actions, employee selection, training, performance appraisal, discipline, coaching, development, and safety issues.
  • Good understanding of Production Processes, Inventory Control, & Quality departmental functions.
  • Determine manufacturing priorities based on established production schedules.
  • Communicate and hold employees accountable to objectives, manufacturing procedures, and efficiencies.
  • Supports the quality initiatives of the company with final responsibility for quality of product manufactured, instilling commitment of quality to all levels of direct and indirect personnel.
  • Assist in setting and achieving goals for inventory accuracy and amount on hand, scrap reduction, production, quality, accuracy, efficiency, quality concerns, mixing efficiency and accuracy.
  • Identification of production bottle necks and assisting in fixing them to increase productivity and possibly preventing concerns.
  • Support safety policies and environmental responsibilities including reporting, investigations, and analysis.
  • Drive lean initiatives including 5S program.
  • Direct special projects, problem-solving and continuous improvement activities with emphasis in safety and processing.
  • Must be capable of mining and gathering supportive documentation out of production systems, production process monitoring, procedures and database management of performance goals.
  • Embrace and lead Lean Thinking and implement changes.
  • Target productivity metrics/accountability.
  • Other duties as assigned.


YOUR SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field from four-year college or university; and six to ten years related manufacturing experience.
  • Minimum five years in a supervisory role.
  • Prefer chemical batch processing experience.
  • Prior experience leading in a 24/7 environment a plus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Highly engaged leader of people.
  • Strong background in Lean Manufacturing to include 5S methods, Kaizens, and other continuous improvement programs.
  • Problem solving ability and critical thinking skills required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Visio, SAP are a plus. Ability to work with many different computer programs not listed throughout the production floor such as label making programs.
  • Strong commitment to safety systems and OSHA required standards

The salary for this role is $98,800.00 - $144,500.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
