This position is responsible for the comprehensive management and oversight of program operations across various service areas.  The role ensures that all activities align with the organization’s Mission and Core Values while utilizing Person-Centered Practices.

The individual in this position supervises Direct Support Professionals (DSP) ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centered support to individuals served. Key responsibilities include implementing agency policies, maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards, monitoring program documentation, and participating in departmental planning, goal setting, and quality assurance efforts. Additionally, this role ensures that support plans are properly implemented, and meaningful, safe, and engaging environments are maintained.

In addition to operational oversight, this position plays a vital role in supervising and coaching staff. This includes training, evaluating performance, and conducting performance reviews for DSPs. The individual ensures accurate tracking time and payroll, manages staff schedules, and handles employee relations matters such as addressing concerns and initiating disciplinary actions when needed.

The role also involves coordinating with internal teams such as Case Managers and Medical Services staff to ensure continuity of care and support, as well as maintaining proper inventory and overseeing financial matters related to the people supported. In production areas specifically, the position involves managing job orders, maintaining equipment, and ensuring contract deliverables are met. Overall, this leadership role is essential to ensuring service quality, staff development, and the well-being of individuals supported within the program.

Some of the key responsibilities of this opportunity include but are not limited to:

Administrative & Program Operations

  • Manage the implementation of systems, procedures, and policies for assigned areas
  • Participate in the planning and execution of agency and department goals, as well as Basic Assurances
  • Ensure all required documentation is completed as required by ISP’s, including ISP data, t-logs, GER’s, baselines, checklists, seizure logs, etc., via completion of monthly reports
  • Assist with quality assurance data entry and complete quality assurance checks
  • Facilitate monthly staff meetings to roll out training, agency communications, and discuss needs of people supported at the home
  • Attend assigned meetings, training, and serve on department or agency committees as needed

Supervision & Program Monitoring

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of assigned adult service areas, providing feedback and guidance to staff
  • Train and monitor staff’s implementation of Healthy Behavior Practices (HBP)
  • Ensure all individuals served are engaged in meaningful activities, supporting their independence and skill development
  • Ensure compliance with ISP processes, including assessments, outcomes, training, and documentation

Supervision & Staff Development:

  • Assist in interviewing, hiring, and orienting new staff
  • Monitor staff performance, conduct evaluations, and address performance issues
  • Schedule and facilitate staff meetings, including supervisory meetings
  • Track staff schedules, approve exceptions, and monitor time and attendance

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Rotate on-call responsibilities with other supervisors
  • Assist with facility-wide initiatives and monitor quality compliance standards
  • Set goals and benchmarks for residential teams and ensure accountability for program checks
  • Communicate with families, guardians, or team members regarding questions or concerns

Job Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in behavioral science, social science, education, human services, or a related field is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
One year of experience working with individuals with developmental or physical disabilities is required; more than four years of experience is preferred.
Two or more years of supervision experience are preferred.
Five or more years of experience in direct care or a related field, or a combination of education and experience, providing equivalent knowledge.
A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required.
Successful completion and certification in training provided by the agency within a specific time frame are required.
