• Purchasing Agent
What is the opportunity?
• We are recruiting a Purchasing Agent to join the team of a leading regional distributor of building materials. If you are looking to take your career to the next level and like working in a locally owned, family-oriented environment, this may be the opportunity for you.
How will you spend your time?
• Sourcing and purchasing a variety of material and tool inventory.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Manage inventory levels and reorder points.
• Manage purchase orders for accuracy and timely delivery.
• Manage coordination between the sales team, warehouse, and client.
• Manage supplier performance for reliability, quality, and cost.
We are excited about you if you have the following?
• Meaningful experience in a related position, preferably within the building materials distribution industry.
• Prefer advanced education in a relevant field of study.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong problem-solving and multi-tasking skills.
• Full physical abilities (Strength, flexibility, mobility) to perform job duties.
What do you get in return?
• Work schedule of 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday
• Starting Compensation: $52K to $60K, paid on an hourly basis.
