Ophthalmology LTD delivers treatment for cataracts, glaucoma, and diabetic eye disease, as well as cornea transplants, oculoplastic surgery, retina surgery, vitreoretinal surgery, and pediatric eye care in Sioux Falls.
We are looking for a highly organized and energetic registered nurse to work with one of our ophthalmologists specializing in corneal surgery and external eye diseases to provide a superior level of patient care to our patients. The primary ophthalmic registered nurse is responsible for managing all aspects of the physician's clinical and surgical schedule including coordination of services with referring providers, hospitals, clinics, suppliers, and other agencies. Is responsible for triage, patient education, and patient advocacy. Will manage and administer eye drops and medications as directed by physician and will assist with minor procedures while maintaining proper sterile technique. This position requires a working knowledge of ophthalmic practices, patient care, surgical procedures, surgical scheduling, and documentation requirements. It requires a positive attitude, the ability to effectively communicate with patients, coworkers, and physicians, and a willingness to help when needed.
Full-time position, 40 hours/weekly, the schedule may vary between 7:00 am and 5 pm, Monday - Friday. Will travel to satellite clinics (same day) based on the physician's travel schedule.

Requirements:
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Current RN Licensure.
3 years of relevant work experience in a hospital or medical office setting. Prior ophthalmic experience is not necessary, complete training will be provided.
CPR certification or ability to obtain.
