Openings: 2 Full time positions
Full-time (40 hours/week); Day/afternoon/evening/weekend hours

Full-time (40 hours/week); Overnight Shift, overnight/weekend hours

Typical Day:

  • Provide supervision and support for youth in shelter care and reception center.
  • Qualified applicant will provide direct client care, maintain/model appropriate boundaries, and teach applicable coping and problem-solving skills.
  • Complete reports and documentation as necessary.
  • Prepare accurate and timely documentation and reports as necessary.
  • Supervise Direct Care staff.
  • Assess client’s needs, and assist them with appropriate services, support, decisions, and plans.
  • Coordinate appropriate resources and community referrals.
  • Provide follow-up counseling as needed.
  • Works with individual patients in a 1-on-1 setting or in a group setting that is consistent with the care needs of the patient and the inter-disciplinary treatment plan.
  • Participates in the daily inter-disciplinary treatment team meeting as needed, providing input in terms of patient behaviors and interactions with others.
  • Implements suicide precautions as needed.
  • Enjoys working with adolescents as well as their families.
  • Has a passion helping patients with conditions such as Addiction, Anxiety Disorders, Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and Depression or Suicidal behavior.
  • Appreciates an active, challenging care environment that requires critical thinking.
  • Values autonomous professional practice.
  • Possesses motivation to help create and deliver high-quality patient care in an energizing team environment.

Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:

  • The residential counselor position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral or social science field OR 48 credit hours of post-secondary education and a minimum of 1-year experience working with children; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • For the residential worker position, a high school diploma or GED; and experience working with youth are preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Be able to complete orientation training according to agency program standards.
  • Must successfully complete all agency background checks.
  • Requires valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain one and approved driver status.
