OverviewWork Arrangement: ***After the initial training period, this is a hybrid role, working onsite in our Sioux Falls, SD office.***
This role will be responsible for ensuring the stability, integrity and efficient operation of the Risk and Compliance applications, as well as efficient operation of components and related technologies in support of core organizational functions.
ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions- Plans and coordinates application upgrades, routine maintenance, and patches. Communicates timelines to users including system outages, system slowness etc., Works with users to describe new and evolving functionality.
- Monitors and manages the performance of the assigned applications. Monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity. Elevates issues to technical staff and document processes.
- Acts as a point of contact to troubleshoot application issues, collaborates with internal business units and work with external vendors to determine the scope of the problem, and collects all relevant details to identify potential solutions. Makes recommendations for workarounds and/or elevate issues beyond scope of authority.
- Gathers business requirements from end users, prepares low level design specifications, evaluates, and deploys new and/or modified functions in an Agile/Waterfall environment. Attends daily and/or weekly meetings to review specifications and works through process and/or functional issues as they arise.
- Manages system administration tasks such as setting up roles, workflows, and views within the applications. Acts as the system administrator to install applications.
- Performs data analysis, prepares reports and if needed, profiles, and tunes the system. May require performing some basic development work.
- Develops, modifies, and runs the daily application processes in accordance with best practices.
- Guides, mentors, and leads junior level application administrators.
- Implements different components of business-critical applications.
- Performs production support during normal and on-call hours.
- Complies with federal, state, and local laws and regulations relating to the systems documentation, policies, and practices.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QualificationsEducation/Experience Requirements- Undergraduate degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Minimum of 3 years technical IT experience, with understanding of Windows servers, Microsoft Office products, SQL databases, and SQL scripts/queries, including installing, configuring, maintaining, and securing application environments experience.
Preferred Requirements- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Industry standard certification/ financial industry experience.
- Ability to work effectively in a team fostered, multi-tasking environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, organize work and work on multiple projects/applications simultaneously.
- Experience in installing, configuring, maintaining, and securing critical Applications, experience in a development or Production/Support environment with first-hand experience in Incident Management and Change Management.
- Flexibility to work a schedule that includes on-call off-hours support.
- Position is required to travel up to 5% percent.
