Job Description:
The Bilingual Construction Safety Trainer will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering comprehensive safety training programs in both English and Spanish. This role is crucial in promoting a culture of safety and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement safety training programs and materials in both English and Spanish.
- Conduct safety training sessions for employees, subcontractors, and other stakeholders on various construction safety topics.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary improvements.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, local, state, and federal regulations.
- Perform site safety inspections and audits, providing feedback and corrective action plans.
- Maintain accurate records of training sessions, attendance, and certifications.
- Assist in the development of safety policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to identify safety training needs.
- Stay updated on the latest safety regulations, trends, and best practices in the construction industry.
Qualifications:
- Fluent in both English and Spanish, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Certification as a Construction Safety Trainer (e.g., OSHA Outreach Trainer) is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction safety training or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA standards and other relevant safety regulations.
- Strong presentation and instructional skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various job sites as needed.
