Already certified in South Dakota or another state? We make it easy for you to transition and get started quickly. If you’re certified in another state, a simple reciprocity process allows you to transfer your certification with minimal additional training.
Your Role as a School Resource Officer:
- Develop strong relationships with students, faculty, and staff to promote a positive and safe school environment.
- Provide security and respond to incidents within the school.
- Educate students on safety, bullying prevention, and legal topics.
- Serve as a mentor to students, offering guidance and building trust.
- Collaborate with school administrators to develop and implement safety plans.
