Seasonal Ground Maintenance
Public Works Department – Water Reclamation
$18.12 per hour

Job Summary

The City of Sioux Falls Public Works and Water Reclamation Division is now accepting applications for a seasonal Grounds Maintenance position for the summer of 2025. This is a non-benefitted seasonal role. The expected hours are Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, excluding city holidays.

The responsibilities for this position include mowing, weed-eating, monitoring irrigation systems, applying weed spray, and trimming trees and shrubs. Candidates will be expected to operate mowers, weed-eaters, utility terrain vehicles (UTVs), pickups, and various hand tools.

Qualifications and Skills

Applicants must be at least 18 years old, possess a valid driver's license, be able to work in extreme weather conditions and lift/carry 100 lbs.
