Senior Accountant
Location: Sioux Falls, SD (Local candidates or open to relocation required)

Aladdin Capital, a fast-growing fintech company, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant with 3-5 years of experience to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations while supporting the Controller and contributing to the overall success of the company. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with QuickBooks Desktop and Microsoft Excel and thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee daily general ledger activity, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and assist with cash flow management.
  • Support audits by preparing schedules and providing necessary documentation.
  • Maintain and update the fixed asset schedule and calculate monthly depreciation.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Collaborate with the Controller on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives.
  • Implement and refine accounting processes and controls to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Prepare and file sales tax and other regulatory reports as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in accounting or a related role.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices (GAAP).
  • Experience with bank reconciliations, fixed assets, and financial statement preparation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • CPA or CPA candidate is a plus but not required.
  • Must be local to Sioux Falls, SD, or open to relocating.
