Pay: $65,000-$75,000

Responsibilities
- Comprehensive Bookkeeping: Manage all aspects of monthly bookkeeping for our clients, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, invoicing, inventory management, fixed assets, and other accounting areas, with a focus on class code management.
- Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Tax Compliance: Prepare and file sales, use, and excise tax returns, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
- Audits: Complete tax audits and workers' compensation audits, providing necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Peer Reviews: Conduct peer reviews to ensure accuracy and consistency in accounting practices across the team.
- Payroll Management: Process payroll, submit payroll reports and deposits, and stay current on payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance and accurate reporting.
- Client Communication: Respond promptly to client requests for ad hoc reporting or financial statement inquiries, providing clear and concise information.
- Team and Client Collaboration: Maintain proactive communication with both the internal team and clients, ensuring all pertinent information is shared and understood.
- Client Management: Efficiently manage accounting responsibilities for multiple clients, maintaining high levels of organization and service.
- Policy and Procedure Development: Work directly with management to develop, implement, and maintain high standards in accounting and bookkeeping policies and procedures.
- Process Improvement: Continuously provide insights and suggestions for process improvements to management, aiming to enhance efficiency and accuracy in all accounting functions.
- Additional Responsibilities: Undertake other duties as assigned to support shareholders and contribute to the overall success of the firm.
Skills
To be considered for employment and succeed in this role, candidates must have:
- A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- 5-7 years of experience in bookkeeping
- Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks
- CPA designation or the ability to work towards obtaining CPA
