As a Senior Audit Associate, you will be crucial in executing and delivering high-quality audit services to diverse clients. This position entails managing all aspects of audit engagements, from planning and risk assessment to the final deliverables. You will collaborate closely with team members and serve as clients' primary point of contact, guiding them through complex financial reporting and compliance issues. Your expertise will maintain the firm’s standard of excellence while supporting your professional growth in a dynamic and encouraging environment.


Key Responsibilities:
1. Engagement Planning & Scheduling:
• Schedule fieldwork and coordinate engagement timings with clients.
• Organize team members for specific engagements.
• Prepare and review engagement letters and the Prepared by Client (PBC) listings.
• Plan the audit, develop strategies, and identify potential risks, along with audit steps to mitigate those risks.
• Track the status of engagements and ensure timely completion of all deliverables.

2. Audit Execution:
• Conduct walkthroughs of internal controls.
• Perform fieldwork and assign tasks to team members.
• Review team members' work papers, offering feedback and notes.
3. Financial Statement Preparation and Review:
• Prepare financial statements and related disclosures by GAAP and other regulations.
• Review financial statements prepared by staff to ensure adherence to standards and firm policies.
4. Concluding Procedures:
• Complete concluding procedures such as management inquiries and corroborations.
• Send audit binders for partner and cold review processes.
• Address and resolve any comments from partners and cold reviewers.
• Prepare and send communications to governance and management, including proposed journal entries.

5. Professional Development:
• Stay updated on current accounting and auditing developments and industry trends.
• Assist in developing and implementing firm policies related to new accounting and auditing standards.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, business, or a related field. A master’s degree in public accounting is a plus.
• CPA certification or progress toward obtaining a CPA is highly desirable.
• 3 + years of experience in public accounting or a related field, focusing on audit services.
• Highly proficient in the MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.). Familiarity with accounting software is required, and experience with Engagement Manager (formally known as AdvancedFlow) is preferred.
• Adaptability and a commitment to flexibility in a constantly changing professional environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide precise and impactful feedback to clients and team members.
