Develop and execute strategic inbound routing plans to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
Oversee dynamic load planning, utilizing company assets and third-party carriers to streamline deliveries.
Set up and maintain schedules for inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring on-time delivery.
Direct the flow of materials and products, keeping operations running smoothly.
Collaborate with internal departments to implement logistics improvements that enhance productivity.
Supervise and mentor the logistics team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Manage the importing and exporting process, ensuring compliance with all regulations and policies.
Product Life Cycle & Inventory Management:
Monitor showroom sample receiving and sales representative sample shipments.
Work with National Accounts on exclusive SKU setup and PO placement with vendors.
Assist sales representatives with customer custom orders.
Identify slow-moving products and recommend discounting strategies.
Maintain reporting data for all logistics costs, including ocean freight, inland freight, and duty.
Review and approve payment invoices for vendors, freight, and duty.
Collaborate with multiple departments daily to troubleshoot shipping needs and provide historical data.
Direct the team to ensure timely arrival of samples and stock shipments and proper maintenance of sales promotions and closeouts.
Oversee the Sample Assistant to ensure showroom and sales force samples are available.
Manage the Inventory Specialist to ensure accurate product delivery monitoring.
Prepare and manage the department’s annual budget.
Maintain relationships with foreign offices, agents, and incoming freight shipping partners.
