Job Full DescriptionService Foreman, OEM Dealership What is the opportunity? We are recruiting a Service Department Foreman to join the team of a leading regional OEM distributor of semi-trucks, construction equipment, and power generation units. If you possess a high level and variety of technical skills and knowledge, are a strong leader and developer of talent, strong manager of job order efficiency and effectiveness, this opportunity may be for you.
How will you spend your time? - Manage the development and performance of the 20+ mechanics
- Review, open, and close all job orders
- Assign job orders by mechanic abilities to complete them efficiently and effectively
- 50% working job orders, DOT inspections / 50% monitoring, assisting, and training others
- Effectively communicate with customers, managing approvals and expectations
- Work with the Service Manager to ensure that the Service Department has the training, tools, equipment, and resources needed to succeed
We are excited about you if you have the following? - Record of success 5+ yrs. as an OEM Service Foreman or Mechanic in the Truck, Heavy Equipment, or Power Generation industries
- Prior record of creating a culture that fosters an aligned and effective service team
- Excellent communication/people skills working with employees and customers
- High level of mechanical experience, knowledge with diesel engines and trucks
- Diesel Engine Certification required: diagnostics, repair, and overhaul
- Proficient with OEM repair order systems
- Prefer a technical degree or industry certification
- Must possess basic tools needs, with specialty and diagnostic tools provided
- Require a driver’s license in good standing, prefer CDL-A
- Full physical abilities (Strength, flexibility, mobility) to perform job duties.
What do you get in return? - Work schedule: Open 7 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday, anticipated 40+ hour work week
- Starting Compensation: $35 to $45 hr., based on proven abilities
