Position Title: Service Receptionist
Location: Sioux Falls, SD
Department: Service Department
Reports To: Service Manager/Service Advisor

Job Summary: As a Service Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for customers seeking service for their vehicles. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure a welcoming and professional experience for all customers answering inquiries and facilitating communication between the service department and customers. You will play a crucial role in maintaining smooth operations within the dealership’s service area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming calls and provide information about services, schedules, and dealership policies.
  • Collect customer information, including vehicle details and service history, to create or update service records.
  • Collaborate with service advisors to ensure timely and accurate communication with customers.
  • Record customer inquiries, complaints, or concerns, forward issues to the Service Advisor or Service Manager when necessary.
  • Maintain knowledge of current promotions, specials, and service offerings to provide customers with up-to-date information.
  • Assist with filing and general administrative duties related to the service department.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous customer service or receptionist experience, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in using computer systems and software (experience with dealership management software is a plus).
  • Ability to maintain a positive, friendly, and professional demeanor.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic knowledge of automotive services and terminology is an advantage.
  • Ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism and patience.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position

Compensation:

  • $15.00-$16.00 DOE
