POSITION SUMMARY
The Service Technician - Regional will provide service and customer support during field service visits to dealer network or customer locations within their respective region. They will manage all onsite installations in AOR of repairs, maintenance, and testing of Rosenbauer Fire Apparatus, which includes diagnoses of errors and technical problems and reporting to the engineering department for further evaluation in cases that are not product failure or workmanship issues. Also, the Service Technician - Regional will oversee the shipping process and return of warranty parts in order to complete onsite repairs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Provides service and customer support during field service visits to dealer network or customer locations within their respective region.
- Manages and executes diagnostics, repairs, maintenance, and testing of Rosenbauer Fire Apparatus, documenting in Rosenbauer Systems.
- Oversees the shipping process and return of warranty parts in order to complete onsite repairs.
- Updates and completes the SRS ticket/issue with each repair, including a service report.
- Ensures that all needed parts, forms, and documentation is fulfilled by the dealer representative.
- Assists service departments with in-house projects and technical phone support when not traveling.
- Assists in the education and development of the technicians in our dealer network
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the organization and our members.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA’s): The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
K | Knowledge, Education, and/or Experience: - Associate degree in Service Technician, Automotive Technology, Automotive Technician, Emergency Vehicle Technician, or a similar field preferred.
- Ability to obtain a CDL license required.
- 2+ years of experience performing mechanical repairs required.
- Experience and understanding of all facets of firetruck construction and operation preferred.
- Experience working on electrical components of machines or vehicles preferred.
- Experience working with hydraulics preferred.
- Experience with Cumins INSITE and Allison DOC programs preferred.
