SERVICE: Foster Care Services, Resource Family Services
SCHEDULE: Positions are 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with regular evenings/weekends as needed.

SALARY: Dependent on experience and qualifications
Typical Day: The Resource Family Services (RFS) Specialist assists families in navigating the process to become a foster or adoptive resource to children in the custody of the Department of Social Services. In this position you will provide training and complete home study assessments for prospective foster and adoptive families. You will be a valuable member of the LSS Resource Family Services Team and work collaboratively with the South Dakota Department of Social Services.
Qualifications for Specialist:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in social work or a related field.
Experience: One to two years of related experience preferred.
Licensure: Must be licensed by the South Dakota Board of Social Work Examiners. Licensure can occur after hire.
Background Checks: Must successfully complete all agency background checks.
Driver's License: Requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain approved driver status.
