Job Description
OBJECTIVE:
The Nutrition intern will spend time learning about the basics of swine nutrition and diet formulation, swine production, research, ingredient procurement, and feed mill processing and biosecurity. Developing a strong professional relationship with members of the Pipestone Nutrition Team will be essential while also engaging in new growth opportunities.
Internship will take place between May-August 2025.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (other duties as assigned)
- Understand the basics of swine production.
- Strong attention to detail and data integrity.
- Willingness to learn and take on new projects.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Willingness to spend time in hog confinement facilities.
- Willingness to aid in the collection of nutrition research data.
- Ability to work with a fast paced, progressive management team.
- Ability to navigate Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
Education:
1+ Years of Advanced Education with Agriculture focus.
Experience:
Swine Production/Livestock Background.
Work Environment:
Office and barns located in and around Pipestone, MN.
Housing:
Provided

Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to get to work
